Common in the white house
Now… I saw a few different videos about this issue… And… I never thought I say this… but I agree with John Stewart… Who DESTROYED Bill O’Reilly in a conversation about the Common “Controversy”…
Here are the two links to the conversation:
The initial issue was that Common was invited to the White House by the First Lady as part of a poetry slam. Fox News has raised an incredible sink about this due to a short list of things, first being a poem written in 2007 and performed on Def Poetry called “A Letter To the Law“. In the poem he says: ”Burn a bush, cuz for peace he no push no button. Kill over oil and grease, No weapons of destruction. How can we follow a leader when it’s a corrupt one” which is obviously a direct verbal attack on Bush’s reasoning behind that many attacks America has made on different middle eastern countries. But their main focus is a few lines that lean towards the idea of radical cop killing. “My people on the block got alot of Pac in them. And When we roll together, we be rocking them. To Sleep.” but what Fox news failed to point out is THE NEXT TWO LINES “No time for that cuz there’s things to be done. Stay true to what I do to see the Youth Dream come.”
The second issue is that Common visited and wrote a song dedicated to Assata Shakur, a convicted Cop murderer who was found guilty of First and Second degree murder. Assata Shakur’s defense had phenomenal weight but no professional back due to lack of funds and most forensic and ballistic speciallists claimed “conflict of interest” because they did similar work for law enforcement officials. I won’t get into too much detail but a neurologist testified that she was shot while holding her hands upand it severed her median nerve making it impossible for her to pull a trigger and shoot a person… let alone 2…
The worst thing about all of this is that Foxnews.com interviewed Common, calling him a positive influence to the community and children throughout the country.
Jon Stewart pointed out that Johnny Cash who also has excessively violent lyrics including numerous lines about doing cocaine and shooting his loved one, was brought to the white house and no “Controversy” was mentioned.
One fox news anchor said “If someone used this same type of Rederec about violence against P. Obama, I would be against it” Jon then showed a video of Ted Nugent saying “I Said, Hey Obama! You might want to suck on one of there you punk” and “Obama, he’s a piece of shit. I told him to suck on my machine gun.” THE SAME ANCHOR when asked if he would disavow Ted for said comments he said “No, I like Ted Nugent, he’s a friend of mine”
Based on these facts alone I’ve drawn two conclusions…
1 – Fox News is an extremely Republican network (obviously)
2 – Fox News HATES Obama… for being black or democrat, you pick… I don’t care either way.
I am always open to feedback and will respond to any and all feedback I receive.

Fox News doesn’t hate Obama because he’s black, or a democrat… they just hate Obama because he showed his Long Form birth certificate to the people. And because he advocates universal health care. And because he supports workers’ unions. And because he wants to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. And because he wants to raise taxes on the upper class. I can go on all day. ^_^
Side note, WordPress’s spellcheck keeps wanting to change “Obama” to “Alabama”…I smell Rupert Murdoch behind this…it also wants to change “spellcheck” to “spellbound”…reminds me I have a Lacuna Coil CD I haven’t listened to in a while.
And on a related note, what do you have against Jon Stewart?
I have nothing against Jon stewart. It was the fact that a spoof anchor was able to make Bill O’reilly look like a puts
